The EAEU will launch a program to improve the qualifications of researchers

At the meeting, the EEC approved a report on the results of monitoring and analysis of national advanced training programs for researchers, including undergraduates and graduate students, currently existing in the territories of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.

This initiative is envisaged as part of the implementation of the Strategy-2025. According to the press service of the EEC, at the next stage, programs for improving the qualifications of researchers through joint internships in scientific organizations and universities in Russia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Belarus will be submitted for consideration.

– A balanced reproduction of personnel capable of ensuring a continuous process of accumulation, transfer, expansion and use of scientific knowledge is a necessary condition for innovative development, – said Sergey Glazyev, Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics. – At the same time, science and education play a paramount role in providing states with highly qualified scientific personnel.

The report also reports on the initiative to create the Eurasian Network University. According to the minister, the most effective development strategy is the harmonization of educational systems based on the convergence of the best elements of educational programs, national models and adapted practices.
